Ow. [ He rubs the spot, but he's still got the smile on his face. Completely worth the smack. Life's no fun without a good scare! He moves around the table to face her, but slowly gravitates for the line. She didn't get a drink! Good. This is his territory today! ]

Great, so that's a tall hot chocolate for you. Anything else?

If they have that cinnamon cake, one of those! [She calls after him, a little excited about them maybe having it.

Every time she comes with her brother, they're always out.

And while he's away from the table, she's pulling out a bag and a card from her purse, setting it down next to her phone. Swinging her feet, she waits for him to get back.]

[ Skyler salutes before heading off to the line. :D And of course they have it! He comes back with it on a nice little dish with a fork and a napkin. :> He slides it in front of her before sitting down himself. ]

Drinks are coming soon. Heeey, is that for me? [ Indicating the... phone... here SORRY YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS LITTLE SHIT he's kidding tho he's kidding ]

Oh yes! It's even preloaded with some flowery backgrounds I know you'd love! [She teases back, grinning back at him. After years of knowing him, she's gotten used to his antics, especially as of recently.]

Seriously though, Happy Valentines Day! [She pushes the bag of chocolates over, and the card. Smiling brightly as she takes the cake and moves it more in front of her.]

I made them the other day, I hope they taste okay. My first batch was horrible even Taylor turned green and he can eat anything.

-- You made them? [ ... Wow. That's pretty cool. He tugs the card closer first, reading it carefully before using both hands to open the bag. ] Must've been a lot of work... You're sure they're ok though? [ He's not exactly doubting that she'd give him nothing but the best, but he is a little wary after the warning. ]

They're fine now! [She blushes bright red at the worry, ducking her head down as she takes a bite of the cake to hide her embarrassment. ]

I tested them out before I put them in the bags. [The card was homemade too, something simple and almost generic except for a small bit of writing that Holly added to just his, saying how thankful she was to know him. Signing it that he was her third brother.]

If you don't want to eat them it's okay!

[ He is going to treasure that card forever, especially that third brother part. golly

He shakes his head, laughing and trying to sound reassuring! ] No, no no no! I want them. [ To demonstrate, he takes one out, studies it for a moment (... it's very pretty, at least!), then takes a big bite out of it, chewing thoughtfully.

... And smiles before swallowing. ] Well, if I turn green and get sick, at least I'll be happy about it.

[She laughs, taking a sip of her hot chocolate now before smiling and shaking her head.]

I hope you don't get sick. I'd feel really bad, but if you do I promise I'll play nurse for you. With chicken noodle soup and heart band-aids, even.

Chicken noodle soup would work, but what would the band-aids do? Make me feel prettier? [ He eats the rest of the chocolate in his hand, then checks inside the bag, counting how many he has left. ] I'm not gonna get sick, anyway. No worries.

[There should be ten, well nine now that he's eaten one. All different shapes and some even dusted with colored sugar. She wanted to try to go all out this year!]

Prettier and they're cute. Ari would love them.

[ They are really fancy, whew. Skyler wraps them back up again. ]

She would. Speaking of, was she at school today? She had the flu yesterday... [ and... he has no idea if she got better in time to go to school. SHE IN FACT DID NOT! ]

[With a shake of her head, she takes another bite of the cake. Can't let it go to waste after he bought it for her.]

No she didn't come today. And where have you been Mr. Hot-shot that you don't know that?

[ -- Ah. He... scratches the back of his head. Ahem. ] Slept through it. Didn't wake up until noon.

But what about school? You're going to get into trouble. [You are making her frown in worry Skyler.]

Nah. [ He reaches over and ruffles her bangs for a moment. ] Senioritis. The entire system is made to let seniors do whatever they want for their last semester as long as they make it to half their classes.

If you say so. [She smiles at the ruffle, her head tilting forward with a laugh. Offering him some cake, she reaches up to fix some of her hair.]

Are you okay, otherwise? Is Cenabell doing okay?

[strikeraid]

Cena's all right. [ ... He should probably let Cena out for a run when he gets back home. A night in the closet is only for emergencies, after all. ] He's probably gonna love Valentines. He's really got a sweet tooth.

He does? Aw, I wish I'd known, I'd have made him a bag too. [She assumed since he kind of looked like a dog that anything chocolate would be off limits but- guess not!]

[strikeraid]

[ It's a fair assumption to make. Skyler actually made the same assumption until he caught Cenabell in Ari's Halloween candy last year and Cenabell didn't even seem remotely sick afterward. ]

I'll split mine with him, don't worry. The grocery stores are gonna discount chocolate like crazy tomorrow too, so I can pick up a ton then.

If you're sure. When I try making some again, I'll make him a special batch. Would dog bones be too cheesy?

[strikeraid]

[ A very serious look. ] Yes. Cena is going to care so much and he will never see you the same way again.

[keywarding]

[She tosses a napkin at him.] I'm being serious! I'd hate to hurt his feelings! Oh, I learned the other me's name. [Skyler's one of the few constants that she tells these things to.]

[ He ducks, trying to bat it away with a hand. He misses and it bounces off his head. It settles on the floor, and he goes after it to pick it up. ] He'll love it no matter what.

[ ?? ] Huh. What is it?

[She switched subjects quickly but it's because she literally just thought of it.]

It was Sakura. Pretty right? [She smiles at it, she still thinks it's pretty, definitely not something her parents would have named her but pretty.]

Sakura... [ He crumples up the napkin, his face shifting a little in thought. That's Japanese, isn't it? It seems to be a theme... ] Just Sakura? No last name?
