I have a staff, it's pretty cute. A pink think with a star on it. [Well she should really call it a baton, it's not huge like wizards stave's in movies, but it's not the size of a wand like she was originally calling it. Who knows.]

She was using a staff, it was the same one I have now, but there weren't any cards or spells she said, just Yue and Kero talking to her and telling her it was going to be okay. Ethan knows a little bit about the cards but I don't think he has any memories of me using them.

[ A staff, huh... ]

Maybe you need a combination of them together? Like, the staff and one of those cards around and Kero. And... Yue? [ That isn't a name he's heard before. ]

Oh that's an idea. [One she probably should have managed to think of on her own if she wasn't still a little worried about the cards in general.]

Oh! Uh... Yue is an .. angel that helped her too. Ethan remembers him judging him- or us. I think it was us, but I have a memory of both Kero and Yue helping her, and being worried for her?

Okay this just sounds weird and confusing. [She rubs her face with her hands. Really how crazy can you sound?]

You should try that. And, uh... [ ... that does sound confusing. Skyler just waves that aside, though. ] Stuff must've happened. Sometimes I get two memories that don't make sense, but months later I'll get a different memory that explains it. [ And she would only have sounded crazy if Skyler hadn't gotten so many conflicting memories about the same topics. Sometimes about the same people. Sometimes about what those people look like, sometimes. It's weird, being Skyler. ]

I wish I knew. It'd make this all a lot easier. [Then maybe she could help Ethan out more and not just cower in a corner if trouble happened.

But she smiles instead of wallowing in her own troubles]

It'll get clearer. Either it's gonna get clearer because things happened because of reasons, or it never would have made sense anyway.

[ ... wait did he really help. he. doesn't feel like he did? ]

Finish your cake. I have to pick up chocolate for Ari and you're coming with me.

I'm going? [She takes the cake back to finish the last few pieces.] You know what Ari likes!

I know I know what she likes. I don't know what you like. [ He wiggles his eyebrows. B) ] You're coming with me.

[That catches her by surprise, laughing a little at his waggling eyebrows.]

But you don't have to get me anything! You bought me cake!

That was me treating you because I'm nice sometimes. You're supposed to give someone candy and stuff during Valentine's, unless you're on a date. [ He snickers. ] You wanna make this a date, Avalon?

[keywarding]

[She's so happy her drink is empty by now because she knocks it over in her embarrassment.] Skyler! [She's quick to pick the cup off the floor, thankful for no spills.]

Didn't Michael say he'd lock you in a locker or something if that ever happened? [She's pretty sure she remembers this threat.]

[strikeraid]

And I said I'd only do it if you weren't basically twelve. [ He snickers again, but it quickly fades out to something more genuine. ] You're still basically twelve.

I am fourteen! [She is very proud of this fact mister, very very proud.]

[strikeraid]

Twelve. [ He grins, then gets up from the table, checking the table for anything he may have forgotten. ] Too little for life. You ready?

[She could toss her cup at him but she's sure he'd manage to dodge and then she'd probably hit some poor person behind him so she just frowns at him before grabbing her bag and standing up.]

Yes, so where to 'oh buyer of chocolate'?

[strikeraid]

[ He snags her empty dish and fork and sets it on the little counter thing before turning back to Holly, shoving his hands back into his pockets. ]

Just the grocery store. C'mon, let's walk. [ He'll start heading towards the door, leaning on it to let her through first. ]

[Tossing her cup out as she walks out, she smiles at him in thanks before waiting for him to lead the way.]

You know usually people buy this stuff in advance, though it's probably on sale today for last minute shoppers.

[ Ack. Skyler looks away, trying not to let his embarrassment show. ]

I... kind of forgot. Things kept happening.

[There's this quick flash of concern, it sits in her eyes for moments before she's smiling over it and shaking her head with a chuckle.]

Don't worry, I think it's okay as long as you remember before the days over.

[strikeraid]

[ -- Aw, man, he didn't mean to make her worry. He takes a deep breath in and gives her his best grin. ]

[Putting a finger to her lips, she makes a considering face.]

I could be... or I could just be making sure you get the basic idea of Valentine's Day right, silly.

Hey, I've been through three more Valentine's Days than you have. I think I'd have it down by now, right?

And yet you're still last minute shopping. For shame.

[She wags her finger at you before laughing.]

[ He sticks out his tongue at her. ] I'll set an alarm next year. Put my Valentine's list on the special stationery. I can't forget something like that.

I have some cute stationery I can let you have! [She grins brightly, really Skyler you're hilarious.]
